The Advanced Sonar Station is a level 3 special naval tower available to both the CORE and the ARM; it is basically an upgraded Sonar Station with about four times as much coverage. It does not find as much use as its land equivalent though, as ships can be spotted with radar and submarines don't pose any threat to land bases; in fact it is only useful in maps that is all water terrain or a lot of it.
